Residents of neighboring Persimmon Creek and Persimmon Ridge joined forced to complete a sidewalk bridge that separated the two neighborhoods for 10 years. Lawrence City Councilman David Freeman, a friend of the Corey family, led the charge in soliciting donations, blueprints, permits from the City of Lawrence, and volunteers to construct the bridge over Labor Day weekend.

Started back in the early 70′s, the Tuesday Night Bass Club at Geist Reservoir pulls fishermen from all over Indiana. Each week, anglers vie for the largest bass with cash prizes and bragging rights on the line.
