The board will have the next POA meeting on Friday October 3, 2008 at 2:00 PM. The location is Casler’s Restaurant located on the SE corner of 116th and Olio. Residents are always welcome; however, we request an RSVP at least a day before if possible so that we can have enough copies of any handouts ready. The meeting typically lasts for two hours. A copy of the agenda is available in advance of the meeting by contacting Kevin Drew with Kirkpatrick Management at 317-594-5720 ext. 13.

Beware! You may have seen the police car on our streets. The Canal Place POA has once again hired a Hamilton County Deputy to run radar along the streets of Canal Place. To protect the children, pets and others, the posted speed limits are 25 MPH. For the month of April, the officer wrote citations for seven vehicles travelling in excess of 40 MPH. Ironically, none of the seven citations were individuals that reside in Canal Place. He issued another 31 warnings for vehicles humming along over 30 MPH. The officer will use his discretion but stated that tickets will increase for speeds over 30 MPH in the month of May heading into the summer. Slow down!! He also indicated that he is noticing that teenagers are travelling too fast and wanted parents to know that he will issuing citations to all of those vehicles deemed to be travelling to fast. Help keep your insurance premiums down by informing your daughter or son to slow down!! Thank you!
