Survey to Gather Community Input on Desired Qualities for New HSE Superintendent

The Hamilton Southeastern Board of School Trustees would like parents and community members to participate in an online survey to help determine the most desirable qualifications for HSE’s next superintendent. The Board expects a successful candidate to have a doctorate, a superintendent’s license and experience that demonstrates a variety of characteristics.

The survey lists seven general strengths and abilities that the Board believes are important in an effective school leader. It asks parents and community members to select the three they feel are most essential, and rank them according to importance. The survey will be up on the district web site (www.hse.k12.in.us) until May 5, a week before the deadline for candidates to apply. That allows the Board time to review results before starting the screening and interview process. Please answer the survey one time only to make results more meaningful.
