In these times of economic difficulty and uncertainty, Spay Neuter Services of Indiana (SNSI) is partnering with area veterinarians to provide relief to pet owners during the month of February. As a community service during SNSI’s February Campaign, 30 participating central Indiana vets will provide a limited number of discounted spay-neuter surgeries.
“Controlling the pet population is still a serious problem in communities all across the state,” said SNSI Board President, Christine Jeschke. “Far too many animals are still being euthanized, housed in animal shelters or roaming free outside for lack of a loving, adoptive home. Spaying or neutering pets addresses the root cause of this problem and also helps them to become better companions by eliminating many common behavioral problems.
“We appreciate the generosity of our partner vets for going the extra mile to help us address this issue,” said Jeschke. “With their help over the last 16 years, SNSI has been able to have a significant positive impact on reducing the euthanasia rate in our communities.”
During the February Campaign, surgery prices at participating vets start at just $30 for a male cat. Partnering veterinary offices are located throughout central Indiana.
Pet owners can take advantage of the discounted surgeries by obtaining a February Campaign discount certificate online at www.SpayNeuterServices.org or by calling SNSI at 317-767-7771. Certificates are also available at many area pet stores and libraries.
