HUH? No one said anything about neglect... Personally, I find the very use of the term plain insulting. How is it neglectful for a mother or father to want to have a life of their own? Even in a two parent family, the parents still ocassionally go on dates/dinners/events without the children. Why is it that a single parent doing this is "neglectful"?

A divorced woman (or man) undergoes changes and people might not approve or support it, but she/he needs some change in her/his life. Eventually, she will be able to find balance in her life. It is truly sad that there are mother who tend to neglect their children for a while because of the pain that they are going through. This is why we need a sturdy support system that will assist them so as to decrease the damages produced by the hurtful separation or divorce.
