No one said anything about neglect... Personally, I find the very use of the term plain insulting. How is it neglectful for a mother or father to want to have a life of their own? Even in a two parent family, the parents still ocassionally go on dates/dinners/events without the children. Why is it that a single parent doing this is "neglectful"? HUH? Eventually, she will be able to find balance in her life. It is truly sad that there are mother who tend to neglect their children for a while because of the pain that they are going through. This is why we need a sturdy support system that will assist them so as to decrease the damages produced by the hurtful separation or divorce.
