Weather permitting, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) plans to shift and restrict Pendleton Pike (U.S. 36/S.R. 67) under I-465 starting Saturday, April 5.
Pendleton Pike traffic will be limited to the southeast half of the road and restricted to two lanes in each direction. There will be no dedicated turn lanes for Pendleton Pike traffic entering I-465, although turns will still be allowed. The new restrictions, which will remain in place through the reminder of the project, will create construction delays for motorists entering or exiting I-465 at this interchange. Similar Pendleton Pike restrictions remain in effect east of the interchange through Post Road.
Starting Wednesday, April 9, crews also plan to reconstruct the Sellers Street intersection north of Pendleton Pike for about two months. INDOT will maintain access to businesses and homes using temporary entrances or the posted detour over Hull Street and Allen Street.

I wish they would hurry up with all this. I have seen other road construction projects similar in scope throughout the city begin and complete during the time Pendleton Pike has been torn up. It’s just awful how they are dragging it out so long. Most days the construction equipment just sits unused without even a single worker to be seen. Why such a low priority, Governor Daniels?
