The first neighboring city to the Towns of East and West Geist tabled their two ordinances last night, waiting to see Judge Nation’s ruling next month on whether the Geist petitioners can move forward with their incorporation or not. This recommendation came at the request of Noblesville City Attorney Michael Howard.

I cannot believe that the argument against the People of Geist being able to pursue our own towns is based upon “who filed first” This is not a schoolyard fight. This is supposed to be a free country. The fact is we are not a part of Fishers and do not desire to be a part of Fishers. What right do they have of jamming thier self interest down our throats. I moved here for the schools. If this thing comes down that I am stuck living with Fishers as my hometown it will last only until I can get my kids through school. Unfortunately my taxes will skyrocket and property value will likely go down as a result of it. By the way, I will not be shopping in Fishers and if more of us banded together to do the same the message may get real clear who has the power on this one.
