Meet the Candidates, Friday Night

Steve DillingerState Senator Beverly Gard and Hamilton County Commissioner Steve Dillinger will be on-hand at a special Meet the Candidates event to answer questions, invite your comments, and listen to your concerns.

The event is being held at the Indianapolis Yacht Club, on Friday March 21st, from 7:00p until 10:00p.  Appetizers and music will be in abundance, and a cash bar will be available.  The pubic is most welcome and there is no charge.

Do you have questions about property tax reform?  Do you have ideas about how to streamline state and local government that you would like to share?  Would you like to meet the people who represent you at the state and county levels?  Would you simply like to learn more about how our state and local government works?

Senator Gard has been a tremendous supporter of the Geist area and, in particular, of our anti-annexation efforts.  Commissioner Dillinger likewise has been a great supporter and helped us in many ways to protect our property rights and organize our anti-annexation efforts.

Both are running for re-election and deserve our support in exchange for the phenomenal support they have shown us for our cause and our concerns.  While it seems that most representatives only give lip service to helping their constituents, these two individuals have taken demonstrative action—even if that action was at odds with what other elected officials wanted.

Attending this event is a great way to show your support and to say thank you for all of their efforts.  It’s also a wonderful way to spend an evening with friends and neighbors and “talk politics” with those who can actually do something.

Please plan to attend, if only for a few minutes, to show your support.  Feel free to invite your neighbors and friends, as well.

Remember, state and local government is government that affects you the most.  Keeping in office those few representatives who are actually concerned about you and work for your benefit is very important, so don’t forget to vote in the primary on May 6th!
