Local Students to Vote for U.S. President!

Students at two local elementary schools will actually get to vote for president of the United States — one day before their parents!

Students at Lawrence Township’s Indian Creek Elementary and Hamilton Southeastern’s Sand Creek Elementary will participate in the “largest nationwide student presidential election in history” on Monday, November 3rd.  The schools have registered with the American Legacy Company, which enables students nationwide to vote online.

Classess will visit the computer lab in the morning and will watch live on screen the popular votes of K-6 students nationwide as the tallies are processed.  The colors of the U.S. Electoral Map with change to either blue or red, state by state, as results are verified.  Students will receive an “I voted’ sticker to wear home reminding their parents to vote Tuesday in the actual election.
