Local Students Release CD

sanuk flyer cathedral high school band Two former St. Simon students, Alex Collignon and Oliver Hopkins, have been in the recording studio this summer recording Sanuk first CD “Honey I got news.” On Saturday, January 10th at 2:00 pm the band will be performing at the Omalia Auditorium at Cathedral High School. Cost is $5 per person or included with purchase of $10 CD.

Alex is junior at Cathedral and plays drums. Oliver Hopkins, a junior, writes all the music, plays lead guitar and sings. Chris O’Connor is a senior and plays bass. Duncan Kissinger is a junior at Lawrence Central and plays guitar. The CD also features back up vocals from Sophia Hopkins (a freshman at Cathedral), David Linard on the piano (freshman at IU in the School of music), and Liz Folz (freshman at Beckley School of Music in Boston). They recorded all summer at Deihl Studios in Carmel, Indiana.
