Lawrence Central Hosts FAFSA Seminar

LC will host its annual FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) seminar at 7 p.m. Jan. 15 in the Studio Theatre. Parents of graduating seniors are encouraged to attend to learn how to file the required paperwork; the seminar will be conducted by Sandy Osborne from the University of Indianapolis financial aid office.

Parents are to receive a PIN number from www.pin.ed.gov, then apply at www.fafsa.ed.gov. All applications are to be filled out online. No paper applications will be accepted by FAFSA. After the application has been sent in, a student aid report will be sent back within two weeks.

Federal student aid is to benefit both students and parents. All students may qualify for federal aid no matter their social status.
