Lawrence Central Artist Named Congressional Art Competition Winner

Jordan Woodall,  Lawrence Central art student of Vicki Shafer, was was recently honored by Congressman Andre Carson’s office as a Congressional Art Competition winner, after receiving the District Award.   Jordan will attend a Workshop with Artists, hosted by the Library of Congress along witht he awards ceremony and reception in Washington, DC on June 24th.  You can view the Online Gallery of award winners by visiting www.conginst.org.

The second place winner, Derrick Howard,  is also an art student of Vicki Shafer.  Derrick’s art work will be on display at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis from July 2nd thru July 12th.
