I spoke to Chris Kauth this morning, owner of one of my favorite restaurants Inge’s German Market.
“We closed it down last week,” Chris told me.
A great German lunch spot off of 116th Street across from the Fishers Town Hall, Inge’s owners Chris and Jacqueline Kauth just got tired of being stretched so far thin. Chris owns two businesses and Jacqueline owns a hair salon.
“Running between jobs, working every Saturday night, and just the stress of it all just took its toll on us both. We were struggling keeping all the balls in the air and decided to close it down on October 1st,” Kauth added.

This stinks. I loved this place!
* Pardon me while I go cry under a desk somewhere. *
Thanks for the great food you were able to fix. I know it’s hard keeping stress levels down in today’s world! Best wishes.
