HSE Junior High Presents ‘OZ’ Nov. 7,8
A cast and crew of over 100 Hamilton Southeastern Junior High students have been preparing since August for this weekend’s performances of OZ. The musical features all of the favorite characters from Dorothy and the Scarecrow to the mean old Wicked Witch and Glinda. The show runs approximately 90 minutes and is perfect for any audience!
Shows will be performed Friday, November 7 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. as well as Saturday, November 8 at 7 p.m. in the HSJH Auditeria. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students and free for children 5 and under.
Directors Katy Gentry and Cindy Johnson invite you “to come and support our cast. Follow the Yellow Brick Road!”
Also helping with the production are Wendy Holsman, choreographer; Michele Oyler, Monika Spangler, Joe Molinaro, pit band; Lora Dingledine, lights/sound; and Michelle Kellner, set design.
Captions: Oz picture #1- Dorothy (Courtney Scott), the Scarecrow (Matt Burke), the Tin Man (Trevor Peters) and the Lion (David Houston) have just met the Great and Powerful Oz, who tells them that the only way he will grant their wishes is if they destroy the Wicked Witch of the West.
Oz picture #2- Dorothy (Courtney Scott) gets promises from Glinda the Good Witch (Lauren Spry) to protect her from the Wicked Witch of the West (Jeni Seibert) after Dorothy’s house lands in Oz.
