HSE High School Presents ‘The Music Man’
ManagingEditorNo CommentThe Hamilton Southeastern Performing Arts Department and Drama Club will present Meredith Willson’s musical “The Music Man” on March 13, 14 and 15 at 7 p.m. in the Leonard Auditorium.
This well-known musical, set in the early 1900s, is the story of the fast-talking traveling salesman Professor Harold Hill, who convinces the citizens of River City, Iowa, to buy musical instruments and uniforms for a band that he will organize. The catch is that he doesn’t know anything about music. Of course, there is the inevitable love interest. This musical produced such well-known songs such as “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “Ya Got Trouble,” “Good Night My Someone” and “Till There Was You.”
Show directors are Mary Armstrong, Danielle Mullen, Jill McGrath, Haley Frischkorn and Mike Niemiec. They are assisted by Kate McCoskey and Ethan Mathias.
Tickets are $6 for adults, $5 for students, and $3 for children not in school. Tickets may be purchased by phone at 594-4190, ext. 12606, and picked up at the “Will Call” table in the lobby. Tickets will also be available at the door the night of the show.
