Holy Cross Lutheran School will be moving into the new Education Center that was just completed by Holy Cross Lutheran Church in the Geist area of Indianapolis. On Saturday, January 3, 2009, beginning at 9:00 a.m., the children and families of the school will move the books, desks, shelves and other material from the temporary classrooms that they have been holding classes in, and will carry them across the parking lot to the new building.
The new Education Center adds 16,000 square feet of space to the school which includes six new classrooms, a gymnasium/Activity Center, as well as support space.
Holy Cross Lutheran School now offers classes for children in preschool through 3rd grade, and enrollment for 4th grade in the fall of 2009 begins the end of January. The School will add a grade each year through the 8th grade.
A Community Open House for the new Education Center and School will be held on Thursday, January 22, at 6:00 p.m. The Dedication of the facility will take place on Sunday, January 25, at 3:00 p.m.
