The Hamilton Southeastern Schools Public Dialogue meeting to help define future high school space has been postponed until Wednesday, Feb. 25, 7-9:30 p.m. in the Fishers High School Cafeteria. Dates were adjusted because snowy conditions forced the steering committee to push back its session from Feb. 3 until Feb. 10, when it will lay groundwork for the public meeting.
Students already attending lower grades will put HSE’s high school facilities over capacity within the next few years. The district wants to involve the community in the process to decide how to handle the need for more space at the high school level and to maintain quality instruction. The Community Dialogue meeting will be organized with “round table discussions.” Activities will provide key information and ask participants to rank possible growth alternatives, share ideas and develop high school space strategies.
Can’t attend? Go to HSE’s web site the following day for information presented at the meeting as well as the opportunity to fill out the same questionnaire that attendees will complete. Results will be compiled and made available online.
Make your ideas known. Decisions will affect future high school students as well as the entire community.
Details about the facility planning process are available on the district web site (www.hse.k12.in.us) under “Hot Topics.” You can also go directly to http://www.hse.k12.in.us/newsPublications/article.asp?articleNum=NWS1292009r1252r9186
