Suz Masterson has lived in Admiral’s Landing for seven years with her husband John, son Taylor (20), and daughters Kayla (17) and Jenna (13). Last April, she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, went into remission, and has recently had a reoccurrence. As of now, her only hope is finding the right bone marrow match.
With the initial bone marrow search being completed, no match has been secured. In order to help find the right donor a group of her friends are organizing a bone marrow drive. Anyone who knows Suz will tell you she is such a positive person with an abundance of faith. You can find her complete story and any updates on the following link, www.caringbridge.org/visit/suzmasterson including the upcoming date of our first bone marrow drive to be held at Cathedral High School on Friday, January 30th from 2:00-7:00pm.
The second bone marrow drive will be hosted on Saturday, January 31st from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm at Geist Jazzercise, 11691 Fox Road in the Marsh Plaza at Oaklandon and Fox Road. . The initial test is a simple swab of the inside of the cheek and costs $30.00, minorities are free. Anyone who is between the ages of 18 and 60 are eligible if they are in good health.
