Free Forest Glen Spring Wildlife Festival May 17

On Saturday, May 17th, the Forest Glen Elementary 5th grade immersion students will be sponsoring the Forest Glen Spring Wildlife Festival.  This free community event was created as a way to highlight student projects in our outdoor lab, educate families in our community about our local ecosystems and animals, and allow families/kids to enjoy our natural areas while learning together.

The day’s activities will include:  nature hikes, demonstrations, live animals, tours of the pond, prairie and wood areas, and a skit performed by the Forest Glen Character Education Puppet Team.  The Festival will take place at the Forest Glen/Fall Creek Valley outdoor lab areas from 12:00 – 4:00 pm.

The 5th graders will be selling food to raise money for our Outdoor areas.  Our “combo” will include a hotdog, small bag of chips, and a bottle of water for only $2.00.  Bring the family for a fun-filled educational afternoon!
