Forest Glen Principal, Teacher Accepted to Dual Language U

Principal Danielle Shockey of Forest Glen and first grade teacher Alicia Stevens were recently awarded scholorships to participate in the Illinois Resource Groups’ Dual Language U.  The program is designed for a cohort group of educators to learn more about the implementation of Dual Language Programs.  This award comes at an ideal time as Forest Glen Elementary School in Lawrence Township will be starting a Dual Language Program this fall.  The Dual Language Program will be in addition to the already successful one way Spanish Immersion program already in place at Forest Glen.

Alicia Stevens and Danielle Shockey are both thrilled to be part of a cutting edge program and look forward to bringing their new knowledge back to their colleagues in Lawrence Township.
