First HSE Parent Awareness Night Tuesday focuses on Internet dangers


Hamilton Southeastern’s first of three 2008 Parent Awareness Nights will be “The Internet: Find Out What Your Kids Know” on Tuesday, January 22, from 7-8:45 p.m. in the HSEHS Little Theater. The session features Detective Dan Claassen, who has worked to stop Internet predators targeting children in our area, and Mark Carter of Carter Computer Solutions, who will provide information about software to track children’s Internet use and block undesirable usage. Two monitoring software packages will be given away to attendees at this session.

Other Parent Awareness Nights and subjects are as follows:

  • “Household Products and Medications: The Hidden Drugs in Your Home,” Fishers Junior High School ’s Large Group Instruction Room, Thursday, February 28, 7-8:45 p.m.
  • “Drinking, Driving and High Risk Behavior: The Effects on a Family,” Fishers High School ’s auditorium,Wednesday, March 26, 7-8:45 p.m.
