Crestview Students Are Cooking With Math

“The more facts you know, the bigger your pizza!” Students in Regina Young’s fourth grade class at Crestview Elementary School recently celebrated their mastery of math facts by having a pizza party. The number of toppings available for the handmade pizzas was in direct correlation to the number of math facts the students answered correctly. Measuring, counting, and of course eating helped the students experience a practical use of the math they are learning this year. Pictured are students and their math-inspired pizza creations.
