Brooks School Elementary Takes 1st Place at Regional Spell Bowl

The Brooks School Elementary Spell Bowl Team took first place in Class 4 in the area contest held at Fall Creek Intermediate and that score earned members sixth place out of 139 schools statewide in that category.

Students with perfect rounds were Ashton Murray, Kevin Xing, Kyle Feuerstine and Evan Hodes. Abby Everidge, Lauren David, Trevor Sams had near-perfect rounds. Team members included Garrett Chorpenning, Delaney Cordell, Lauren David, Abby Everidge, Kyle Feuerstine, Charlie Greene, Evan Hodes, Ashton Murray, Trevor Sams, Nia Simmons, Eric Steinmetz, Natalie Wilkinson and Kevin Xing. BSE teacher Mark Heiden is the coach.
