Indiana House Republican and local resident Brian Bosma is getting a head start on his 2010 campaign with an event in his own Geist neighborhood.
Longtime supporters and neighbors Jim and Rita Zink held a fundraiser for Bosma at their home in Feather Cove III on September 2nd. More than 150 guests turned out to enjoy cocktails and shrimp cocktails by the Zink’s beautiful backyard pool overlooking Geist lake. Guests mingled with Bosma and his wife Cheryl. Then special guest Governor Mitch Daniels arrived!
The governor talked briefly to the group in support of Bosma and advised that people are looking for more balance in politics in 2010. He also thanked his supporters for doing all they can each year for Indiana.
Bosma talked to the group as well, saying there is a good reason why he does this year after year. “Why?” he said. “It about the future of Indiana for our kids….What will Indiana like be a decade from now, from the school systems to just their way of life here?”
Bosma has two teenagers. He thanked the co-hosts of the event and, of course, the Zinks for opening their Geist home for the evening.
And–displaying a good sense of humor– Bosma jokingly wrapped things ups by saying, “Thanks for coming, but I’m here this evening for pretty much the same reason all of you are: To get my picture with the Governor!”
