Bold Spring Fashions Now at Geist Boutiques

Springtime is almost here: Time to take off the drab and put on some flare. Prom dresses are in the stores now, and Spring clothes are on the way!

Here’s what’s hot in Spring apparrel, according to Yaprak of Yaprak Design Studio and Boutique in Geist (11230 Fall Creek Road).

“Bold prints are very popular this year,” says Yaprak. “Colors such as purple, orange and all the citrus colors are big.”

As far as prom gown style, Yaprak says the “puff” is out. Instead, go for the “mermaid” style — a tight fitting dress that flares out at the bottom. Spaghetti straps also are a favorite, along with all kinds of embellishments on the dresses. And the plunging V-neck is gone this year, replaced by Grecian neck lines.

Strappy shoes are a popular style to go with prom dresses, especially in silver. “My biggest seller is a silver pair of heels with a band that snake-wraps up the ankle,” says Yaprak.

Spring fashions arriving in stores reflect some of the same ideas.

“The citrus colors are going to be very popular for Spring clothes,” says Yaprak. “ Also, blue seems to be out for now…and fushia is in.” And don’t forget the bold prints!
