Geist Elementary Students Perform as Famous Hoosiers on Wax Museum Day (video)

Did you have a chance to visit “Famous Hoosier Wax Museum Day” at Geist Elementary school? If not, you missed some Hoosier fun!

Fourth graders dressed as their favorite famous Hoosiers and prepared a presentation for visitors on Wax Museum Day (April 20).

This year visitors met Singer Michael Jackson (Madison McMillian), Hockey player Wayne Gretzky (Mitchell Thomas), Singer Crystal Gayle (Sabrina Saba), even Newscaster Jane Pauley (my own daughter, Alexa), but one famous “Hoosier” stopped us in our tracks with a basketball raised in the air.

“Hi! I’m Reggie Miller!” we heard her say, and with a quick glance at her notes (scribbled on the back of her basketball), Ashley Scurlock delivered an entertaining “rest of the story” of the famous Pacers player and Geist resident Reggie Miller.
