Perhaps the most prestigious lot available at Geist Reservoir remains undeveloped with no electric, sewers, or even running water. The heavily wooded island just off of Admirals Sound, home of the Geist fireworks for years, is waiting for the right buyer to come along. Allen Rosenberg, Sr. always envisioned a wealthy family coming to Geist looking for something no one else would have.
“I kept the lot off of Nautical Watch Dr. so whomever buys the island would have a place to dock a ferry boat,” said Rosenberg.
That’s right, a ferry boat would shuttle the exclusive homeowners back and forth from their island to the shores of Admirals Sound. Cost?
“Last time I checked it would cost around $350,000, but I’m sure it would cost more today.”
You won’t find this island in any sales literature or listed on MIBOR.com. However, if the right opportunity came along, Rosenberg would be anxious to deal.
“If you made me an offer for $2 million I’d think about it,” Rosenberg admitted.

Enough is enough–do you really want to destroy another habitat?
